When I was on holidays I found a great stamp store that was stocked full of goodies. I came across what they call sugar beads. Once you have stamped and colored your image you cover it with double sided clear tape and then pour sugar beads on top. It makes a pretty cool effect but it looks better in real life.

The image I used is "It doesn't get much better" by Thomas Kinkade. I colored it with my copics and then used the sugar beads. I used always artichoke, basic black, and so saffron cardstock. Thanks for looking!

Flower Soft!

While I was away on holidays I found a scrapbook store full of goodies. I bought some of this flower soft to give it a try. When I got home I went digging through some of my old supplies and low and behold I came across these cute little flower pots that I bought years ago. I used pink pirouette, whisper white and bella rose dp for this card. The pearls came from Wal-Mart. Thanks for looking!

Fabulous Flower Pots!

I found this great tutorial on splitcoast stampers to make this fabulous flower pot. My mom is coming over tomorrow so I think I will surprise her with it. She absolutely loves flowers and she is just counting the days until the grass is green and the weather warm enough to start planting.

I used close to cocoa for the flower pot, so saffron ribbon and dp from sale-a-brations. I used my slice to cut out the flowers however I made them too big to fit into a standard envelope. I will have to remember to downsize them next time.

Thanks for looking and here is the link to the tutorial TLC215. I hope you give one a try as they are so much fun to make. Send me a link to your cards so that I can check them out!

Sketch Challeng 223

Alright, so I'm a few days behind but at least I got it done. This is the SC223 challenge on splitcoast. If you are like me and you haven't checked it out yet I suggest you give it a try. It is a great way to get your creative juices flowing.
I made this card using my new lumberjack Ryley. Isn't he soooooo handsome? You can find this stamp at Hanna Stamps along with tons of other cool stuff! I colored him using my copics and then ran the close to cocoa layer through my cuttlebug using the distressed stripes embossing folder. The jumbo eyelets and the dp come from stampin up. Thanks for taking the time to look!

Goodies In The Mail!

My holidays were alright but I had to work really hard to try and stay positive. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there, our camper sprung a leak, my child got chicken pox, we all got sea sick and to top it all off my dog ruined my laptop (don't ask, I'm still trying to salvage my hard drive). But I can't really complain since I now have a new laptop and I am back in my happy place (or my rubber room which my husband calls it lol).

Anyways, there were a lot of new goodies just awaiting my return so I had to get crackin' and put them to good use. I found this stamp set on http://www.artfulinkables.com/ they have some really cute stuff. I absolutely love this girl reading her book and I knew she would be fun to try my copics on. I used perfect plum cs, pale plum cs, whisper white cs, and basic black cs. The sentiment and the flowers came from the "One of a Kind" stampin up stamp set. I used the eyelet border punch on the bottom and inked all of the edges with perfect plum.
